"Origins" GPT Templates: What You Can & Can't Do (Simple Guide)

We're thrilled you're using our GPT Builder tool and templates in "Origins"!

We want you to create amazing things and even make money with them. Here’s a simple guide to how you can use our templates:

What You CAN Do:
  • Build & Sell Your Own GPTs: You CAN use our template files (the documents and structures we provide) to create your very own GPTs (those cool AI assistants).
  • Monetize Your Creations: You CAN then sell access to the actual working GPTs you build on platforms like the OpenAI GPT Store. Go for it!
  • Customize Them: You CAN change, edit, and add to our templates. In fact we recommend you do this to make your GPTs unique and awesome.
  • Use for Your Business or Clients: You CAN use the GPTs you build to help your own business or to create services for your clients.
What You CAN'T Do (The Really Important Bit):
  • Don't Resell Our Template Files: You CANNOT take the original template files (the documents, .txt files, etc.) – even if you change them a bit – and sell them or give them away individually or as a "template pack" or anything similar.
    • Think of it like this: We give you recipes (the templates). You can bake amazing cakes (your GPTs) and sell those cakes. But you can't sell copies of our original recipes, even if you tweak them a little.
  • Don't Claim Our Templates Are Yours: The original template designs belong to us here at Tangent.
  • Don't Compete Directly With Us Using Our Stuff: Please don't use our templates to build a direct competitor to our GPT Builder or offer a similar library of templates.
  • No Shady Stuff: Please don't use the GPTs you create for anything illegal, harmful, or deceptive.
In a Nutshell:

We want you to use our templates to build cool, functional GPTs that you can use, share, and even sell access to. Just please don't sell or share the underlying template files themselves as if they were your own template product.
